Hello and welcome!
I am a humor/satire/personal essay writer and podcaster (and many other things, including total jackass).
I am a certified graduate of Second City’s “Writing Satire for the Internet” courses, and have taken many other workshops from sites like Reductress, Catapult, and the Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop. I have a background in special education, and believe that humor and satire are some of the best tools we have to fight oppression. And that is not satire.
I have had funny words published in McSweeney’s, The Offing, Little Old Lady Comedy, The Belladonna, Points in Case, Robot Butt, Weekly Humorist, Slackjaw, Flexx, Greener Pastures, Frazzled, and 2 Ho Ho Ho’s. I have had personal essays published in HuffPost, The Rumpus, P.S. I Love You, and You Might Need to Hear This. Find all of this work under published writing.
I am also the co-host of the podcast “I Never Saw That,” which is about the years 1994-1996 and the pop culture I missed while isolated from the world in a “therapeutic boarding school” in Montana. Ken Marino was a guest once and now he is my best friend forever.
Feel free to get in touch with me, especially if you want to hire me or say something nice!
